Copy Cookies to Clipboard ("the Extension") is a browser extension for Google Chrome designed solely to help developers copy cookie data from the active browser tab to their clipboard. This Privacy Policy explains what data the Extension accesses, how it is used, and what is never done with it.

2. Data the Extension Accesses

When you trigger the Extension (via the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+K), it temporarily accesses the following:

4. How Your Data Is Used

The sole purpose of accessing the above data is to complete the clipboard copy operation you requested. The data flow is:

1. You press Ctrl+Shift+K
2. The Extension reads the cookies for the active tab from your browser
3. The cookies are formatted as a JSON array in memory
4. The JSON is written to your system clipboard
5. A confirmation notification is shown
6. The data is discarded — nothing is retained

All processing happens locally on your device. No data ever leaves your browser.

5. Permissions Justification

The Extension requests the following Chrome permissions, each with a specific and limited purpose:

• activeTab — To access the currently active tab's URL and domain
• cookies — To read cookies for the active tab's domain
• clipboardWrite — To write the cookie JSON to your clipboard
• scripting — To facilitate the clipboard write operation within the browser context
• offscreen — To perform clipboard operations from the Manifest V3 service worker
• notifications — To display a brief "Cookies copied!" confirmation to the user
• host_permissions — To access cookies across any domain the user may be visiting

No permission is used for any purpose beyond what is described above.

6. Third-Party Services

This Extension does not integrate with, connect to, or share data with any third-party service, analytics platform, or remote server. There are no advertisements, tracking scripts, or external dependencies of any kind.

7. Data Storage

The Extension does not use:

• chrome.storage
• localStorage or sessionStorage
• Cookies of its own
• Any other form of persistent data storage

No user data is ever written to disk or retained between sessions.

8. Children's Privacy
